Norita Blue
​Norita started rug hooking about 13 years ago. Her first teacher was Katie Allman. She enjoys all cuts of hooking, fine cuts and pictorials have been among her favorites. Norita is currently going through the McGown certification program.

Did you know...
Norita's favorite color is blue and her first car was a 1975 Nova. Someday Norita would like to visit
Newfoundland. Her favorite games to play are the card games hand and foot and Phase 10.

Deb Tomsheck
​Deb started hooking with Katie Allman when Katie was teaching in Seville at the Chairmakers around 2005. Her favorite project is whatever pattern she has on her frame! What Deb enjoys most about rug hooking is the variety and endless possibilities with this medium. Starting with a blank canvas of linen (or some backing) and having the ability to create something beautiful, artistic and useful is super rewarding. Deb loves having hooked a detailed picture and the opposite end of the spectrum - a hand torn rug for my laundry room.
Did you know…
Deb’s favorite color is green and red is right next to that choice. So you know she is in, “happy color heaven when it's time to decorate for Christmas. Her first car was a Dodge Dart--bought it her senior year of college to do student teaching (she soon wondered how she ever lived without a car???) Deb doesn’t really have a particular word she doesn’t like and she tries not to be annoyed at incorrect grammar. However, she grew up in a house that corrected their grammar. The attitude toward proper speaking is a struggle! (Deb says her hubby was afraid to talk when he first visited her parent’s home...poor guy!). Deb’s favorite game is "Garbage" because her grandchildren love to play it with her. A family favorite game is also up and down the river”.

Linda Powell
​Linda has been hooking since 1988 and although she has hooked in (almost) all of the cuts, her favorites are #4 first, and #3 second. She hooks a large variety of styles with her favorite subject being a pictorial, where getting depth and achieving a realistic outcome is a priority. Linda's first introduction to rug hooking was by her late Mother-in-Law and she later received instruction from McGown teacher, Shirley Bloom. Linda is both a McGown and OHCG accredited teacher.
Did you know...
Linda’s favorite color is green. Her first car was a 1966 Volkswagen bug. Her least favorite word is “got” and will rarely use it if another word can be substituted. Linda doesn’t really have a favorite board game but she loves playing cards!

Jennifer Grahovac
​Jennifer started hooking over 20 years ago and she works in cuts from #3 to #9. She is fond of primitives and pictorials and also likes geometric quilt patterns. She admits she is quite fickle and tends to like whatever the last beautiful rug pattern she sees! One of her first teachers was Bev Conway and Jennifer appreciated her playful approach to color and designs.

Did you know...
Jennifer loves all color and her favorite depends on the day and mood. Her least favorite color is yellow - she's not sure why but it rarely appears in her rugs. Her first car was a green Toyota Corolla named Kermit! Jennifer's least favorite word is "can't". She compares that word with Maude Lewis who was severely crippled with arthritis and lived in poverty yet became a world famous painter doing what she loved. "Maude had every excuse to say "can't" but she did not". Jennifer loves playing Scrabble but admits she is terrible at it!

LeAnn Van Camp

LeAnn is an art teacher so she was a natural for rug hooking. She has been hooking for over 15 years and her favorite cuts are #3 and #4. She prefers realistic and detailed rugs. Donna Pendleton introduced her to rug hooking and her first accredited teacher was Linda Powell.

Did you know...
LeAnn's favorite color is Burnt Orange and her first car was a Ford Tempo. Her least favorite phrase is, "shut up". LeAnn loves to play card games and her favorite card game is Euchre!

Ella started hooking around 2012 and he cut is a #8. She doesn't have a favorite rug hooking style - so the assumption is, she likes them all! Barb Carroll was Ella's first teacher.
Did you know...
Her favorite color is purple and her least favorite word is, "moist". Her first car was a Toyota. Ella's favorite game was Twister although she mentioned that she would, "of course i would have to modify it a lot now".
