Class Overview

This workshop will focus on teaching two different coneflower patterns, each featuring a sculpted center (optional) and dip-dyed petals. Participants can choose between a smaller coneflower pattern, which will be hooked using a 3 or 4 cut, and a larger coneflower pattern, for which a 5-7 cut is recommended. In addition to the coneflower options, there will also be a daisy pattern available that can be hooked in a 3-5 cut, also utilizing dip-dyed petals.

Materials Provided

A variety of dip-dyed wool will be available for selection on the day of class. The specific length and amount of dip-dyed wool required will depend on the chosen pattern and the cut size you wish to hook. Additionally, options for wool to use in the centers will be provided, supporting the sculpting techniques that will be taught during the workshop.

Teacher Biography

I have been hooking for 15 years. I received my McGown teaching certification September 2025. I am the president of Fort Laurens Rug Crafters and a member of multiple Ohio Guilds. I also belong to ATHA, Pearl K McGown Guild, and OHCG (Ontario Hooked Crafters Guild). I like hooking multiple styles and cuts. I have been married for 43 years, have 4 grown daughters and 10 grandchildren
